David Lingabee Songs & Songwriting

How to get those musical ideas out of your head – Part 5

Get used to trusting your own sense of things, or in other words, your own intuition and instincts.

For example, you will know when your song is complete, and you will also know when you like what you have created.

Know what you know and make definite decisions.

If you want to change something – then change it!

Keep going till you have your own unshakeable certainty you can change your creative decisions without a second thought as many times as you choose to.

If you compose with more than one person, nothing is different except the experience of personal exploration you will both go through while establishing a comfortable and creative relationship with each other.

You can become so competent as a songwriter that calmly using your own ability to create, play, connect and inspire Great Songs is now second nature.
