Someone squashing or putting you down 


If someone is squashing or putting you down it can make it hard to compose the way you want to.

Another way to describe someone squashing or putting you down could be called suppression or oppression.

That suppression or oppression, at whatever intensity you are experiencing it, is being done to you by someone, often hidden, and usually quite intentional.

They tend to negate.*

When you discover that person and actually realize what they are really up to, you will often experience quite a relief.
