They seemed real friendly at first glance,
I’ve no reason to think something else,
I like to give trust to the people I meet,
It really feels like the right thing for myself.

We can all say we’ve had losses with people,
Some do what they say, and others seem to just think,
It’d be nice to see what they’re planning to do,
Before you go and make with them an agreement.

Building trust can make the whole job more easier,
You build a bridge between yourself and the other one,
It’s no guarantee that life will be all peachy,
But at least you’re attempting an honest try.

Sometimes your body can act without your permission,
It’s like your body moved out from under your own control,
Then your mind takes over directing what happens to it,
And as a spirit you’re basically left out in the cold.

Your body is really just a carbon-oxygen engine,
It needs to rest or sleep ideally every day,
It needs good water, air and food so it continues,
But at some point you’ll need to leave it and start again.  

Now your mind can feel like it has another agenda,
It often ignores you and tells your body what to feel,
It sometimes overtakes your personal self determinism,
You may then feel that you were given an unfair deal.

Now this body you have needs lots of care and attention,
Or so it seems from all the hype that we’re all fed,
The simple basics of living have been lost in all the shuffle,
And even worse we have forgotten who we were.

Now most people today think spirits are not worth the hassle,
It is our body that is important, and at times our mind,
The funny thing is, there wouldn’t be much life without the spirit,
And your body would probably die if you weren’t inside.
