David Lingabee Songs & Songwriting

Album
Name of Song: The Performer’s Hymn

Many viewpoints coming in to me,
A rush, and all at once,
Each viewpoint has its agenda,
Each viewpoint has its own past.

I’m performing simply wondrous,
The crowd flowing back their love,
Sudden hope for those many viewpoints,
To become themselves way far above.

There’s a thrill when performing wondrous,
Admiration for everyone,
An addiction so enticing,
Like cellular energy from the sun.

Thrills outside my time stream,
I forget who I am,
I move outside my body as,
My own soul in my own game.

There’s a treat for wondrous performers,
Endless love from each listeners’ soul,
You can feel all their admiration,
Makes you feel so very whole.

The pressure to maintain wondrous,
Desire for all that love,
Keeping it all going strong,
Stay in the zone and stay above.

The endless worry of being alone,
Dissipates within love my way,
Like a rush of immortality,
A chance to say what I wanna say.

I love the thrill of live performing,
A chance to guide them deep within,
They give you back, it’s so addicting,
So far beyond that world of sin.

Many viewpoints coming in to me,
A rush, and all at once,
Each viewpoint has its agenda,
Each viewpoint has its own past.

I’m performing simply wondrous,
The crowd flowing back their love,
Sudden hope for those many viewpoints,
To become themselves way far above.
