David Lingabee Songs & Songwriting

Song#: 10

Album
Name of Song: Move along please

Can you feel it,
It’s been there a while,
Its never ending presence,
Has made us who we are.

Can you sense its minute rhythm,
It overwhelms our very soul,
So hard to get away from it,
There’s this beauty to it all.

It incessantly intends my courtship,
It seems to want me all,
But when I let it come inside
I cease to be myself.

In looking way way back upon,
My feelings that I once had,
I made the mistake of letting it in,
Then thinking I was glad.

I’ve made some really beautiful things,
To make this rhythm home,
But I can’t deny myself for what,
Is just an endless roam.

Can you feel it,
It’s been there a while,
Its never ending presence
Has made us who we are.

Can you sense its minute rhythm,
It overwhelms one’s own soul,
So hard to get away from it,
There’s this beauty to it all.

I’ve made some really beautiful things,
To make this rhythm home,
But I can’t deny myself for what,
Is just an endless roam.

We’ve all brought along this rhythm,
We’ve all made it into our own,
But still we are individuals,
And in charge of our own home.

We’ve been trying to solve the wrong problem,
Cause there’s nothing wrong with us,
It’s those reactive memories of the other guy,
That gives us all the fuss.

Such wondrous creations in spite of it,
Such greatness in who we are,
But some fell down and couldn’t get up,
They just forgot they still can love.

Being now in this present moment,
Allows us to be the one we are,
All that greatness alive in each of us,
Has never left even though our body dies.

Can you feel it,
It’s been there a while,
Its never ending presence,
Has made us who we are.

Can you sense its minute rhythm,
It overwhelms one’s own soul,
So hard to get away from it,
There’s this beauty to it all.

I’ve made some really beautiful things,
To make this rhythm home,
But I can’t deny myself for what,
Is just an endless roam.
