Frustrations brimming,
Intentions waiver,
Tempers boiling,
At a loss for what to say.

You think they just won’t listen,
You think they think they know best,
You think they don’t care less what you’re saying,
No, there just isn’t anybody there.

Spirits are hard to come by,
They don’t want to show where they are,
It seems they all took a backseat to life,
And are sitting back watching the show.

As to what it is you’re trying to say,
You can’t understand why they appear to be there,

Listening and observing, they must be practiced again,
A valuable thing when truly caring for another,
Just try it, you will see, the relief another will feel,
When you care enough to take the time to bother.

As human spirits we have an innate love for one another,
But now distractions and living override that love,
So many additives that are sold as the way to go,
We all yearn for that simple life once again.
