David Lingabee Songs & Songwriting

Song#: 10

Album
Name of Song: I remember, yes, somehow

As I watch it all dissolve
I hope my life will now resolve,
Seems much easier now to see
the goal I’ve had so long, Be Me.

The famous goal before I moved
away from what made me askew.

A timeless goal, forgotten now,
But I remember, yes, somehow.

Mesmerized by waves unknown,
Many many foreign homes,
Who to trust along the way,
Feels like Earth, nowaday.

So I search into my past,
Incredible how long it lasts,
Recordings of my many lives,
Impressed myself how I survived.

Ramblings on and on they go,
Must find those parts that matter so,
Forgotten pain inside my cells,
Blocks my body from getting well.

You have to want
to change your lot,
It can’t be done
with computer bots.

The human touch is all we have,
Wrapped inside a spiritual salve.

Listen well,
With kindness too,
Amnesia’s what
the pain will do.

Erasing pain
and scars of loss,
Takes a while
too long been boss.

Willingness
to listen well,
Memories locked
inside your cells.

Every cell
has its own mind,
It won’t tell all
unless you’re kind.

The process takes
a kinder being
than all the pain
and loss it seems.

I remember
happier times,
Happier feelings
of my sublime.

The simplest way
to bypass all,
Be present time,
That is your call.

Stay there, stay there,
Learn that drill,
Be right now
A timeless skill.

Stay there, stay there,
Learn that drill,
Be right now
A timeless skill.
