David Lingabee Songs & Songwriting

Song#: 19

Album
Name of Song: Craving all those pictures

Constantly flowing pictures,
TV, movies, ads,
Everyone craving pictures,
As we copy the latest fads.

Stuck to TVs and movies,
Stuck to pictures of life,
What emotion do you need today,
Maybe pictures of action and strife.

Those who act in pictures,
Portray our minds’ desire,
Becoming used to pain and sex,
Their pictures so acquired.

I usually sing a chorus,
But this isn’t a happy song,
I mean to wake your numbed out mind,
You’ve been killing yourself too long.

It won’t go on forever,
Our refusing to ignore,
The human spirit has almost died,
And then there’s nothing more.

Wake up all you Earthlings,
Your body sadly dies,
You have a chance to remember you
Before you ceased to try.

I’m not talking about working,
Or all those sorta things,
I’m talking about your spiritual self,
Before you crushed your wings..

We live among our pictures,
And hope you’ll hop right in,
To what our world has now become,
This justifiable sin.

Constantly flowing pictures,

Everyone craving pictures,
