Song#: 9
Album 21) Urges inside of us
Name of Song: Continuing…

Continuing moral choices, seems not what life should be,
But makes its presence felt, where from these urges come?
Deciding right or wrong, sometimes you just don’t know,
Will your intention break the leash, so you can calmly be yourself.
I guess that’s why that future called hope is pushed,
It seems to calm the urge, that comes when failure reigns.
It shifts the urge to another time, although often an empty shell,
Seems most are fine with this hollow hope, even though it’s back to hell.
Chorus
Urges come, and then they go away,
Hard to stay yourself when they won’t leave.
What do you do with them, when they won’t go away,
Keep saying no, or do you obey.
______
These hidden influences, they seem to never end,
They stay off the radar but are often there to keep us in their mold.
We let them into our lives, the main mistake we make,
That’s probably how we think we’re bad, and cease to like ourselves.
Lead on, lead on I say, no matter the sounds inside,
Those urges come, they also go, becoming ages past.
It’s been going on for eons, this onslaught against us all,
This time track you have been traveling on is very very long.
Chorus
Urges come, and then they go away,
Hard to stay yourself when they won’t leave.
What do you do with them, when they won’t go away,
Keep saying no, or do you obey.
______
There is a part of your mind inside, that’s underneath your sight,
It’s response to life is reactive as hell, it doesn’t think or observe at all.
It often waits till your guard is down, when you’re tired or enmeshed in upsets,
It’s only power comes from being hidden, a disease that infects us all.
It never sleeps, it even gives you dreams that often don’t make sense,
It’s reactive look at what you’re trying to do, often leaves you in a mess.
Then you wonder what is wrong with you, how could you do what you did,
And this saga goes on and on and on, seemingly continuing without ever an end.
Chorus
Urges come, and then they go away,
Hard to stay yourself when they won’t leave.
What do you do with them, when they won’t go away,
Keep saying no, or do you obey.
______
And a word of warning I must make clear, it does not go away with death,
You’re so attached to it’s reactive urge, that you take it into your next body.
Now this is hard to grasp I’m sure, but it’s as true as life will continue,
Start confronting yourself if you have some hope, that your life could get a little better.
